The Nike Mind 001 represents a completely new direction in Nike's footwear innovation. Developed in Nike's Mind Science Department, the Mind 001 is built around the concept that engaging sensory areas of the brain through the feet can help athletes stay present and mentally prepared. The 22 outsole nodes that push against the foot during movement are scientifically designed to activate these sensory pathways. It's less a traditional sneaker and more a performance tool designed around neuroscience.
The Solar Red colourway delivers a bold, vibrant red palette across the Nike Mind 001. The knitted tongue and stretch fabric footbed sit in tonal red, while the unique outsole with its 22 sensory nodes provides the shoe's most distinctive visual feature. Rubber pods near the toe and heel add functional contrast. It's the most eye-catching Mind 001 colourway, designed for those who want their performance footwear to make a statement.
22 sensory outsole nodes developed by Nike's Mind Science Department to activate sensory areas of the brain. Soft foam midsole for robust, comfortable cushioning. Stretchy fabric footbed that allows nodes to move while feeling soft against the foot. Knitted tongue with perforations for breathability and comfort. Rubber pods near toe and heel for durable traction.

The Nike Mind 001 Solar Red is ideal for athletes and competitors who want a bold, attention-grabbing version of Nike's sensory performance shoe. The Solar Red colourway suits anyone who wants their footwear to make a visual statement while still delivering the Mind Science Department's brain-activating node technology. Also suits sneaker collectors and innovation enthusiasts who want something genuinely different.
The Nike Mind 001 Solar Red is a bold statement piece. The vibrant red colourway works best with tonal or monochrome outfits that let the shoe be the focal point. Black joggers, dark denim, or all-black athletic wear allow the Solar Red to stand out. It also pairs well with neutral grey tones for a more balanced look.
The Nike Mind 001 occupies a completely different space to traditional retro runners like the P-6000, ASICS Gel-Kayano 14, or Saucony ProGrid Omni 9. It's not a lifestyle or heritage shoe but a performance innovation built around neuroscience. The Solar Red colourway is the boldest option compared to the stealthier Black, making it the choice for those who want maximum visual impact alongside the sensory node technology.
The Nike Mind 001 can fit slightly snug. If you generally purchase a half size, Nike recommends sizing up for a comfortable fit. Otherwise, order your usual UK size.
