Complete the look
The Gel-Venture 6 began as a trail-running shoe rather than a road model, which gives it a more rugged outsole and a heavier overlay build than the Gel-1130 or Gel-NYC. It has since been pulled into everyday rotation as part of the broader technical running revival, picking up the same interest in outdoor and utility footwear that lifted trail silhouettes across the category. It now sits as one of the more practical options in the ASICS lifestyle line.
The Lake Grey colourway sets a pale grey mesh base under black synthetic overlays wrapping the toe, midfoot and heel counter. Silver Tiger Stripes cross both side panels, layered over dark green accents that run through the stripe detailing, the heel panelling and the pull tab at the collar. Grey panels break up the black at the toe and midfoot, and a black midsole sits above a lugged black outsole carrying a small green GEL marking at the heel.
Rearfoot GEL technology for enhanced shock absorption and all-day cushioning. Breathable mesh upper layered with synthetic overlays at the toe, midfoot and heel for structure. Trail-inspired lugged outsole pattern for dependable grip across varied surfaces. Silver Tiger Stripe panelling with dark green accent detailing. Padded collar and tongue with a heel pull tab for easy entry.

The Lake Grey Gel-Venture 6 suits anyone who wants the ASICS retro look in something that holds up outdoors. The lugged trail outsole and darker upper make it far more practical through autumn and winter than the pale road-running colourways. The green accents also give it a point of difference from the grey and navy options without making it hard to style.
The Lake Grey Gel-Venture 6 leans more rugged than the road-running retros, so it sits well with cargos, utility layering and washed denim as much as joggers. The dark green accents pick up nicely against olive and khaki, while the black base and lugged outsole make it the better ASICS option for wet weather.
The Gel-Venture 6 sits alongside the Gel-1130 and Gel-NYC in the ASICS lifestyle line, but comes from the trail side of the range rather than the road. Against the Gel-1130, it has a chunkier lugged outsole and a heavier overlay construction, making it the better choice for wet weather and rougher ground. It is also the more understated of the two in this colourway, with the darker base reading quieter than the patent-overlay 1130 executions.
Yes, the Gel-Venture 6 runs true to size. We recommend ordering your usual UK size. The mesh upper provides a comfortable fit without being too tight or too loose.
GEL is ASICS’ silicone-based cushioning technology, set into the heel of the midsole to absorb impact and reduce shock through the foot. On the Gel-Venture 6 it works alongside the trail-focused outsole to keep the shoe comfortable across varied surfaces.
The lugged outsole pattern carries over from the original trail-running design, so it handles gravel, light tracks and wet pavement better than a road runner. It is best treated as an everyday shoe with outdoor capability rather than a dedicated trail shoe.
We recommend spot cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap, using a soft brush to clear dirt from the lugged outsole. Avoid the washing machine as this can damage the layered overlays. Air dry naturally away from direct heat.
