Complete the look
The ASICS Gel-1130 originally launched as a performance running shoe, built around ASICS' GEL cushioning technology and TRUSSTIC support system. It has since been revived as a lifestyle silhouette, becoming one of the most popular models in the retro running revival alongside the Gel-Kayano 14 and Gel-NYC. The Gel-1130's sleeker, lower-profile design compared to the chunkier Gel-NYC has made it a favourite for anyone who wants a technical runner that's less bulky but still carries genuine ASICS heritage.
The Steel Grey Black colourway features a breathable mesh base in tonal steel grey with synthetic leather overlays and contrasting black accents. Glossy silver branding stripes sweep across the side panels for a refined, technical finish. Subtle ASICS logo hits add heritage detailing without being loud. The visible GEL insert in the rearfoot adds visual interest to the midsole profile. It's one of the most polished Gel-1130 colourways, bridging the gap between casual and smart-casual.
Dual-density EVA foam midsole with visible rearfoot GEL insert for impact absorption and smooth transitions. Breathable mesh base with synthetic leather overlays for a technical, layered construction. Glossy silver branding stripes for a refined, premium finish. TRUSSTIC support system (TPU shank) in the midfoot for stability and energy efficiency. Durable rubber outsole with traction pattern for everyday grip.

The ASICS Gel-1130 Steel Grey Black is ideal for anyone who wants a refined, technical retro runner with a polished dark palette. The steel grey and black tones make it one of the most versatile Gel-1130 colourways, suited to daily wear across any wardrobe. The glossy silver branding adds a premium touch that sets it apart from standard dark runners. The GEL cushioning and TRUSSTIC support deliver genuine comfort and stability.
The Steel Grey Black Gel-1130 is one of the most refined dark colourways in the range. The tonal grey with black accents works with dark denim, black joggers, charcoal trousers, or a full monochrome outfit. The glossy silver branding stripes add a subtle premium touch that elevates it beyond a standard grey shoe. Easy to dress up or down.
The ASICS Gel-1130 sits alongside the Gel-Kayano 14 and Gel-NYC as part of ASICS' retro running revival. The Steel Grey Black offers a more refined, polished alternative to the Graphite Grey Gravel, with glossy silver branding and a cleaner contrast between the grey upper and black accents. Compared to the Gel-NYC in similar dark tones, the Gel-1130 has a sleeker, lower-profile silhouette with less visual bulk. Against the Nike P-6000 Anthracite Smoke Grey, the Gel-1130 offers visible GEL technology and the TRUSSTIC support system for a more technically advanced feel.
Yes, the ASICS Gel-1130 runs true to size. We recommend ordering your usual UK size. The breathable mesh upper with synthetic leather overlays provides a comfortable, secure fit.
The Gel-1130 features rearfoot GEL technology for impact absorption and smooth heel-to-toe transitions. The dual-density EVA foam midsole provides cushioned comfort, while the TRUSSTIC support system (a TPU shank in the midfoot) enhances stability and efficient energy transfer during movement.
The Steel Grey Black colourway is available in unisex sizing. Check the available sizes on the product page for current stock.
We recommend spot cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid machine washing as this can damage the synthetic leather overlays and glossy silver branding. Allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat.
