Complete the look
The ASICS Gel-1130 originally launched as a performance running shoe, built around ASICS' GEL cushioning technology and TRUSSTIC support system. It has since been revived as a lifestyle silhouette, becoming one of the most popular models in the retro running revival alongside the Gel-Kayano 14 and Gel-NYC. The Gel-1130's sleeker, lower-profile design compared to the chunkier Gel-NYC has made it a favourite for anyone who wants a technical runner that's less bulky but still carries genuine ASICS heritage.
The Irvine Black colourway features a breathable mesh upper with black overlays and subtle Irvine green tones that give the shoe a modern, earthy edge. The blend of green and black keeps the classic ASICS silhouette feeling fresh while maintaining a dark, versatile palette. ASICS tiger stripes and branding complete the look. It's a colourway that reads as a dark, stealthy runner from a distance but rewards closer inspection with its green detailing.
ASICS GEL cushioning for responsive impact absorption and all-day comfort. Lightweight EVA midsole for a cushioned, supportive ride. Breathable mesh upper with black overlays and Irvine green accents for a modern, earthy aesthetic. TRUSSTIC support system (TPU shank) in the outsole for stability and energy efficiency. Classic ASICS tiger stripes and heritage branding throughout.

The ASICS Gel-1130 Irvine Black is ideal for anyone who wants a dark retro runner with a subtle twist. The Irvine green accents add just enough personality to set it apart from a standard all-black shoe, while keeping the overall look stealthy and versatile. The GEL cushioning and TRUSSTIC support deliver genuine comfort and stability for daily wear.
The Irvine Black Gel-1130 works best with dark, earthy outfits. The subtle green tones pair naturally with olive cargo pants, dark denim, black joggers, or forest green layers. It's a shoe that reads as black from a distance but reveals the Irvine green accents up close, adding character without being loud.
The ASICS Gel-1130 sits alongside the Gel-Kayano 14 and Gel-NYC as part of ASICS' retro running revival. The Irvine Black offers a unique colour combination that sits between the fully tonal Graphite Grey Gravel and the more polished Steel Grey Black. The green accents give it an earthy, outdoor-influenced feel. Compared to the Gel-NYC in dark colourways, the Gel-1130 has a sleeker, lower-profile silhouette with less visual bulk. Against dark Nike P-6000 colourways, the Gel-1130 offers visible GEL technology and the TRUSSTIC support system.
Yes, the ASICS Gel-1130 runs true to size. We recommend ordering your usual UK size. The breathable mesh upper with synthetic overlays provides a comfortable, supportive fit.
The Gel-1130 features ASICS' signature GEL technology for impact absorption, paired with a lightweight EVA midsole for responsive comfort. The TRUSSTIC support system (a TPU shank in the outsole) enhances stability and efficient energy transfer during movement.
The Irvine Black colourway is available in unisex sizing. Check the available sizes on the product page for current stock.
We recommend spot cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid machine washing as this can damage the synthetic overlays and GEL cushioning. Allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat.
